Branson Water Park Lazy River

Restoring a Cracking and Leaking Swimming Pool with Dura-Rubber & Dura-Rubber High BuildProject Overview:

The lazy river pool in a Branson hotel in Missouri was facing significant issues. Over time, cracks had formed along the surface, leading to consistent water loss and structural deterioration. Traditional patching methods provided only temporary relief, and the cost of resurfacing with conventional materials was prohibitively high. Seeking a durable and cost-effective solution, the hotel management turned to Dura-Rubber and Dura-Rubber High Build to restore the lazy river pool’s integrity.

Cracks throughout the surface causing leakage Water loss leading to increased utility bills Structural deterioration threatening long-term usability Need for a long-lasting, waterproof, and flexible coating Desire for a non-toxic and eco-friendly solution.

After thorough surface preparation, which included draining and pressure washing the lazy river pool, the restoration process began with the application of a primer coat. This ensured optimal adhesion for the subsequent coatings. Two thick Dura-Rubber High Build base coats were then spray applied, eliminating the need for prepping cracks and corners while providing a reinforced foundation. Once dry, a topcoat of Dura-Rubber was applied in the color of Blue to create a seamless, waterproof color coat.

The Dura-Rubber system provided a seamless, non-porous membrane that eliminated leaks. Crack Resistance & Durability: The thick base coat of High Build effectively reinforced weakened areas, preventing further cracking.  High Build reduced the prep time and down time of the pool.

The project was completed at less cost of resurfacing with plaster or fiberglass.

The hotel management was highly satisfied with the results, noting a drastic improvement in water retention and the lazy river pool’s overall appearance. They appreciated the ease of application and the long-term protection offered by Dura-Rubber.

By using Dura-Rubber and Dura-Rubber High Build, the hotel successfully restored their lazy river pool without the high costs and ongoing maintenance associated with other repair methods. The solution not only resolved the existing cracks and leaks but also provided long-term protection, ensuring years of enjoyment with a durable, waterproof surface.
